Mirra Meyer (1942-2019)
Below are some of the batik art pieces that are being shown at Mirra's show in a gallery in downtown Portland, this summer. I photographed her artist statement and an explanation of the process of making a batik, so people can know a little about her and what she did throughout the 1970s and a lot of the 1980s. (She was my partner Jarrett's mother.)
The last photo is one that Jarrett found of her working. (It is in the first photo below, but I wanted to show it you as the actual photo.)
