Playing around with my Yosemite photos, in Lightroom, and decided I needed to make some of them into black and white photos.

Yosemite
Welcome to Yosemite Valley!
Let's begin our journey with some details.
Mt. Broderick (left), Liberty Cap (center), and the back of Half Dome (peaking between), all three towering over Nevada Falls!

Nevada Falls
Bridal Veil Falls
We saw this brown-headed cowbird and this flowering shrub, in the main part of the Village.
Everywhere I looked, something different appeared!
Mirror Lake
(Between Half Dome and North Dome)
Dead trees in front of El Capitan.
Half dome from a different viewpoint.

Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls
Wolf lichen on conifer
The fauna was showing its diversity while we were there! Even new species of animals I have never seen before!
The flora was beautiful and diverse, too!
Pine tree and El Capitan
Farewell for now!

Crocosmia at dusk
Our Crocosmia plants are budding and one flower was fully open. The lighting was beautiful, even though I used a flash for most of these, which gave an even more dramatic affect. Enjoy!

The Lounging Squirrel
Saw this guy and needed to grab my camera. Luckily he sat still long enough for me. I have never seen a squirrel just lying down like this before. I guess even rodents need their down time, occasionally. :)

Canada City Nights
One night, while visiting Jarrett in Vancouver, B.C. (where he was living when we met in 2011). I went off and took some night shots, near the site of the Olympic Stadium there. I saw this city scene and was amazed. The lighting was perfect! While editing this, I darkened the photo, and this was the result.
Sci-Fi, anyone?!?
